Box Method of Contracting

March 1, 2021

The box method of contracting creates a structure for two or more parties to enter into a working agreement to deliver a mutually agreed outcome.

It is implicit that performance standards relating to good professional practice apply at all times.  The contract confirms willingness and commitment to get the job done.

The structure can then be set out like a number of frames all superimposed and supporting on each other.

  1. Overstepping the boundary puts the relationship in jeopard
  2. What is and is not acceptable as good working practice, usually values related
  3. Understanding the priorities
  4. Agreeing with each other the resources needed  to deliver the plan including any personal development required or additional support.
